Update on FIBA basketball world championship

Today, team USA pulled a win over Lithuania, confirming their spot in the finals match against either host country Turkey or Serbia. Kevin Durant was on fire, scoring 38 points. 24 of those were scored in the first half. Lithuania, entering this match, was undefeated with a record of 7-0. The final score was 89-74. Now, Team USA is one win away from winning their first gold medal since 1994. The Lithuanians shot 11/28 from three point land, while USA shot 8/25. USA gained many points of turnovers from Team Lithuania, fast break points, second chance points, and points in the paint. Much of the praise goes to the coach of the young and undersized American team, Mike Krzyzewski, head coach of the 2008 Men's Olympic team and also head coach of Duke University. This year, he led Duke to a championship, and recently received offers from the NBA that would have made him the highest paid NBA coach. However, he refused, saying he would stay with Duke until he retired. You can see a picture of him below.  Well, that's all for today. Thanks for reading!
